The first Royal Oak model, designed by Gerald Genta, was unveiled in 1961 and represented a significant break with the conventions of the time. In 2012, Audemars Piguet updated the Royal self-winding with a larger 41 mm case, which initially differentiated it from the "jumbo" and then ended up in the slightly more balanced "15300." In my opinion, the ratio of diameter to height is better, but it is still a bit too small for my taste.
