The Movement

Developed exclusively for Longines by ETA (Swatch's movement production company), the L891.5 movement is an automatic movement and is equipped with several interesting technologies. Firstly, thanks to a modified power chain and a reduced frequency (3.5Hz), it now boasts a 72-hour power reserve - meaning you can leave it on your desk on Friday night and it will still be beating on Monday morning. Secondly, it is equipped with an antimagnetic silicon balance spring, which helps Longines to offer a 5-year warranty.

The Strap

For the first time, Longines replica is offering a strap in vegetable material, available in taupe or black (more classic). As a responsible choice, the exterior is composed of an innovative material made from recycled apple waste. The inside of the strap is recycled corn rubber. It has the same qualities as leather as far as touch is concerned, and is said to have a similar lifespan.

The vegetable strap is priced at €1,870 and the steel strap is priced at €1,970.
